On January 29, 2024, at about 7:14 pm, deputies assigned to the San Marcos Sheriff's Station responded to the area of Grand Avenue and Linda Vista Drive for two juveniles who were lying in the roadway.  When deputies arrived, they learned the juveniles were riding an e-bike westbound on Grand Avenue, and it appears they were struck by a vehicle.  The juveniles were taken to a local hospital, where they were treated for serious, but non-life threatening injuries. 

We need your help.  The driver and vehicle involved in the collision left the scene prior to arrival of deputies.  If you were in the area and witnessed the collision, please call the San Marcos Traffic Division at 760-510-5200 and provide any information you saw to Traffic Investigator Juan Soto-Rodriguez.  You can also email Investigator Soto-Rodriguez at juan.soto-rodriguez@sdsheriff.org.

Accidente de Bicicleta Eléctrica - San Marcos

La División de Tráfico de San Marcos necesita su ayuda.

El 29 de enero de 2024, alrededor de las 7:14 p.m., los oficiales asignados a la Estación del Alguacil de San Marcos respondieron al área de Grand Avenue y Linda Vista Drive por dos menores que yacían en la carretera.  Cuando los oficiales llegaron, se enteraron de que los jóvenes viajaban en una bicicleta eléctrica hacia el oeste en Grand Avenue, y parece que fueron atropellados por un vehículo.  Los menores fueron trasladados a un hospital local, donde fueron tratados por lesiones graves, pero que no ponían en peligro su vida. 

Necesitamos tu ayuda.  El conductor y el vehículo involucrados en la colisión abandonaron la escena antes de la llegada de los agentes.  Si estuvo en el área y fue testigo de la colisión, llame a la División de Tráfico de San Marcos al 760-510-5200 y proporcione cualquier información que haya visto al Investigador de Tráfico Juan Soto-Rodríguez.  También puede enviar un correo electrónico al Investigador Soto-Rodriguez a juan.soto-rodriguez@sdsheriff.org.
