Homicide – Fallbrook
On February 11, 2024, at approximately 8:42 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the report of an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 100 block of Ammunition Road in Fallbrook. When they arrived, they found an adult male injured at the location. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased at 10:05 p.m. At this time the victim's identity has not been confirmed and family has not been notified.
A witness advised deputies the suspect fled from the area in a vehicle. Deputies began searching the area for that vehicle. A short time later, deputies were able to safely detain the suspect.
Sheriff's Homicide investigators are working to gather more information to determine the circumstances and motivation behind this death. The investigation is ongoing. No information about the suspect is being released at this time. There are no outstanding suspects.

El 11 de febrero de 2024, aproximadamente a las 8:42 p.m., los oficiales fueron enviados al informe de una llamada de asalto con un arma mortal en la cuadra 100 de Ammunition Road en Fallbrook. Cuando llegaron, encontraron a un hombre adulto herido en el lugar. La víctima fue trasladada al hospital por paramédicos. Desafortunadamente, sucumbió a sus heridas y fue declarado fallecido a las 10:05 p.m. En este momento no se ha confirmado la identidad de la víctima y no se ha notificado a la familia.
Un testigo informó a los oficiales que el sospechoso huyó del área en un vehículo. Los oficiales comenzaron a buscar ese vehículo en el área. Poco tiempo después, los oficiales pudieron detener al sospechoso de manera segura.
