Chris Thibodeaux, Support Services DirectorChris Thibodeaux is the Support Services Director. He oversees Facilities and Special Projects including planning, capital construction and major maintenance, Fleet operations and the Records and Identifications Division. The department has over 2.6 million square feet of real property at over 40 facilities throughout the County, and over 1,700 vehicles and pieces of equipment.

Mr. Thibodeaux has over twenty-eight years of executive leadership and management experience with the federal government.

Prior to joining the department, Mr. Thibodeaux was the Deputy Force Programs Officer for Naval Special Warfare Command responsible for an Anti-Terrorism, Force Protection and Physical Security program, a senior analyst and logistics subject matter expert with the Navy Expeditionary Combat Command's Warfighting Development Center, and a program director with DynCorp International where he successfully planned and executed the closure of 27 installations in southern Afghanistan in a one year period.

Mr. Thibodeaux spent twenty-one years as a logistics officer in the United States Marine Corps, retiring as a Lieutenant Colonel. A decorated officer, he participated in ground combat operations in Iraq and Afghanistan. Prior to his retirement, Mr. Thibodeaux served as the Director of Housing for Marine Corps Base Camp Pendleton. He also served as the Assistant Chief of Staff for Logistics at I Marine Expeditionary Force on Camp Pendleton and Chief CJ-4 for Regional Command Southwest in Afghanistan. He was responsible for logistics operations to include strategic and operational logistics planning, facilities and infrastructure, maintenance, sustainment, and deployment and distribution operations in support of a multi-national force during Operation Enduring Freedom.

Mr. Thibodeaux is a member of the Sheriff's Command Staff, Sheriff's Leadership Council and Sheriff's Operational Planning Committee.

Mr. Thibodeaux holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in United States History from Tulane University and a Master of Science degree in Law Enforcement and Public Safety Leadership from the University of San Diego.
